The Tulsa Race Massacre devastated the Greenwood District—one of the nation’s most prosperous Black communities. Over two days, white mobs destroyed homes, businesses, hospitals, and schools, killing an estimated 100 to 300 residents and leveling what was known as “Black Wall Street.”
